- Blockchain
Blockchain is a data storage technology that makes it difficult or impossible to alter, hack, or defraud the system. A blockchain is simply a digital log of transactions that is copied and disseminated throughout the blockchain’s network of computer systems. Each block on the chain comprises a number of transactions, and whenever a new transaction happens on the blockchain, a record of that transaction is added to the ledger of every participant. Distributed Ledger Technology refers to a decentralized database that is administered by several people.
- 3D Printing
Parts are manufactured using 3D printing, which is an additive technique. It’s ‘additive’ in the sense that it doesn’t need a block of material or a mold to make physical objects; instead, it stacks and fuses layers of material. It’s usually quick, has cheap fixed setup costs, and can produce more complicated geometries than ‘conventional’ technologies, with an ever-growing variety of materials. It’s widely utilized in the engineering field, especially for prototyping and designing lightweight geometries.
- Machine Learning
Machine learning is a part of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science that focuses on using data and algorithms to emulate the way humans learn, with the goal of steadily increasing accuracy.
- Virtual Reality and Augmented reality
Virtual reality is a type of technology that allows a person to do activities in a digital environment while yet feeling as if they are in a physical one. The goal of virtual reality is to allow people to interact with their surroundings as if they were in the actual world.
Augmented reality is a technologically augmented representation of the real physical environment that is created by using digital visual components, music, or other sensory stimulation.
- Quantum computing
Quantum computing is a branch of computing that focuses on building computer technology based on quantum theory’s concepts.
