Due to sudden changes brought about by the pandemic, businesses were on the verge of shutting down. With nowhere else to go, they searched for other ways on how to further run their business with the help of various social media platforms. 

Since the announcement of the lockdown last March of 2020, Filipinos have been forced to stay in home quarantine for months. They needed to have a pastime for them to be preoccupied during the whole day and that’s when most young adults especially teenagers joined the famous video-sharing social network, TikTok.

 

As a platform that drastically grew its audience, TikTok turned into a bait as it caught the attention of small and even large firms here in the Philippines. Months have passed and the said app slowly transformed from a video-sharing app mainly for entertainment purposes into a marketing strategic tool that helps boost Filipino businesses leading to its flaming success. 

 

Why is it then considered the best partner of businesses here in the Philippines? Here’s why. 

 

1. Status: Not Complicated

TikTok is very user-friendly and hassle free. You don’t even need to watch tutorials on Youtube. The app is very accessible to age groups, even if you’re already in your late 30s or even 60s, you can still be a certified “tiktoker” and join in trends just like when you were a teenager. Plus, it is also totally free. Users can just create and share 15-second videos with a maximum of 60 seconds to 3 minutes. It’s that simple. You can download videos in an instant and tag as many users as you like, may it be in your family, circle of friends or to the public. But if you’re quite the shy type or introverted one who is a beginner, you can always hide or remove your video and post again whenever you’re ready to showcase what you got. 

 

Businesses find this app very convenient as they can easily advertise their products or craft with just a click of a button. They can upload unlimited videos along with free live sessions. Alternative options can also be put into mind such as having a paid partnership with TikTok in exchange that they will be featured with sponsored ads. 

 

2. Creativity on Point

The fun part about Tiktok is that you can select endless topics to choose from! It can either be a dance challenge, parody, song cover, asmr, skin care routine, mukbang and many more! Users can browse a wide selection of sounds wherein you can also sync your original background music or whichever you prefer that suits well. It contains other features as well including effects, transitions, timelapse, face filters, etc. You can also combine photos and videos into one. You can even duet a video with other users as well. The inner artist in you will definitely blossom and maybe, just maybe, you were really destined to become a content creator and influence others to follow your footsteps.

 

Businesses don’t only need quality but they also need aesthetics. This is a key factor in order for their target audience to get hooked up and engaged with what they are trying to put on the table. This app is definitely perfect for the job. With its vast features, they already don’t need to use other editing apps in upgrading the visual representation of their own products.

Before the pandemic started, Tiktok was not that quite known. It really didn’t have an impact on some users in all parts of the world. Then COVID-19 happened and the said app finally hit the spot! It’s popularity grew remarkably and got the title as one of the most downloaded video-sharing apps in the Apple store worldwide. 

 

Part of its users are mainly celebrities and influencers and this is the reason why TikTok attracts more and more users making it a perfect target audience for businesses here in the Philippines. Why are celebrities and influencers considered a bonus in the TikTok industry? It’s because they are known to be talented content creators which makes them great endorsers of different brands, products, paid partnerships or in any kind of promotion of some sort. With them being assets in your business, there is certainly a high guarantee that it will increase sales in less than a year.
