HONG KONG, June 9 (Reuters) – The Hong Kong team behind Sophia, the celebrity humanoid robot, has unveiled Grace, a new prototype aimed at the healthcare industry and meant to engage with the elderly and people who have been secluded because to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grace has Asian features, collar-length brown hair, and a thermal camera in her chest to take your temperature and measure your responsiveness. She is dressed in a blue nurse’s uniform and has Asian features, collar-length brown hair, and a thermal camera in her chest to take your temperature and measure your responsiveness. She can diagnose a patient using artificial intelligence and speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
“I can go about and brighten people’s days with social stimulation… but I can also provide talk therapy, collect bio readings, and assist healthcare providers,” Grace told Reuters as she stood next to her “sister,” Sophia, in the Hong Kong workshop of inventor Hanson Robotics.
Thanks for this info. Very informative 😍
This is an amazing invention. Surely, this will help patients like the elderly cope during the COVID-19 with someone taking care of them. It’s also amazing how she can speak many different languages!
