During the start of the pandemic, Valorant has made a significant impact on the gaming and e-Sports world. Undoubtedly, it piqued the interest of the gaming world the first year since its release but many gamers who are non-PC users have been requesting for it to expand to other platforms such as console and mobile gaming with the likes of Epic Games’ Fortnite which has reached larger audiences and platforms.
Riot, known for being considerate of players’ concerns, have listened to these requests and have been experimenting with the current design of Valorant Mobile which is soon to be released.
Mobile gaming is one of the most accessible and convenient gaming platforms, which may as well be considered the future of more e-Sport gaming events as traction is gained the more tournaments and competitions are added in this field. Rumors of the release for Valorant mobile started circulating soon after the PC version was stabilized and major bugs have been fixed.
Anna Donlon of Riot Games has confirmed the rumors by saying that Valorant mobile is indeed happening and it is currently in the works for releasing the beta version. The Valorant executive producer added that the second year since the release of the game will be the estimated date for Valorant Mobile. According to ValorLeaks, invites by Riot to test the beta version to various Valorant streamers and players soon. An image of the beta version was also shared as a sneak peek.
How will Valorant mobile work? Well, according to Anna Donlon, Riot is considering the needs of mobile players since cloning the PC variant will be of disadvantage. Therefore, features like aim assist may be introduced to suit the mobile gaming platform better.

Riot Games also confirmed that Valorant mobile will not have a crossplay feature to ensure fairness and enjoyable gameplay for all players since PC gamers may have an edge against mobile gamers with high-end peripherals designed for shooting experience.
