Riot Games, the most player-focused game developer company, will now open new publishing offices in India, Indonesia/Malaysia, Thailand and finally, Philippines aside from running operations across Southeast Asia countries; Singapore and Japan.
This region has been seen by Riot to have potentially become the biggest in the world for the company for it has hundreds to thousands mobile game players leading to massive gaming communities across regions. In addition, the company is excited to double down the efforts exerted from the past few years in the offices of Japan and Singapore as significantly grown for launching unique and exciting games and nurturing new esports leagues to drive the players to play these mobile games. Furthermore, persistent to achieve the goal as the most focused-player game company, several new games such as Valorant, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, as well as Riot Forge titles Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem are launched by the company.
The good news is Riot does not limit their space in gaming alone. The company has continued showcasing their products in terms of fashion, animation series and music. In fact, the said company teamed with famous brands like Uniqlo wherein League of Legends UT T-shirts will be released. On the other hand, the Filipino fans must be thrilled since the company is collaborating with Team Manila recently, a Filipino urban streetwear brand, on an exclusive capsule collection to launch Neo, the first Filipino agent of Valorant. Last year, Riot also released Arcade, an animation series on Netflix globally. The fans are beyond grateful as well due to the undeniably efforts of the Riot Games Music group upon releasing Sessions, a royalty-free music for streamers.
Hiring country managers in key markets is also fundamental. They will be joining publishing forces with Japan and Singapore. In fact, Joel Guzman has been appointed as Country Manager of the Philippines and Resha Pradipta as the Country Manager of Indonesia and Malaysia by Alex Kraynov, the new Managing Director for APAC. The said two country managers will be joining Kraynov’s team. Together with country managers of Thailand and India, these leaders will continue to expand the Riot Games in the future.
