Nanotechnology: The Future of Innovation

Nanotechnology is a science, a method, and a machine for manufacturing the future. – Edilson Gomes De Lima
Nanotechnology is the study, investigation, and reengineering of atomic and molecular properties for scientific purposes. It is also the science of constructing a really tiny size of gizmos on a nanometer scale that can be applied to the actual world of existence. Nano is a size of a subatomic particle, and if we people can be small as the nanoscale, we can be able to fit into a tiny single house. Nanotechnology is predicted to significantly help in establishing rapid growth of development in the upcoming years.
We are currently experiencing the start of the 2nd generation of nanotechnology. Scientist believes that nanotechnology is predicted to have four generations of advancement. Future breakthroughs in the field of nanotechnology are predicted to be swift and significant. Why does this matter? This is important because they help us ultimately know about the universe. “Small things are not just to be ignored; they have series of importance that can make into great matter towards life” just like nanotechnology.
Because of this, we can use it to reshape our world and make it a better place. Everything on earth is made up of atoms – the food we eat, we wear, we use and even ourselves, is made up of it. This helps in different sectors of our industries and here are some of the series and its purposes in those fields
Nanotechnology applications in different industries

Food Industry
Nanoparticles like silver mixed with polymers are used in the food industry, it helps in improving food texture, appearance, taste, durability, and nutritional value of the food. Also, the biological changes happen in food are one of the outcomes of Nanotechnology.
Electronic devices Industry
Nanomaterials like Graphene helps us to make better quality devices that consume less power, and well operated kind of gadgets. Through nanotechnology, we are able to experience innovation and advancement in technology.
Medicine Industry
With the use of nanoparticles, various treatments, and medicines for chronic diseases like cancer, brain tumor, etc. are being utilized by targeting the contaminated cells using proper medicine drugs for the illnesses. Additionally, nanomaterials are employed in this industry for enhancing the efficiency of imaging devices. This is not just restrictedly limited in these areas; it also helps in wound treatment and gene therapy.
Fabric Industry
In order for the cloth to be wearable, nano-sized silver and titanium particles are being used to help in the making of apparel.
Automobile Industry
To make tires more abrasion-resistant, several polymer nanocomposites, such as Natural Rubber-Organoclay, have been employed. Additionally, the mechanical properties of automotive fluids have been improved by the addition of nanoparticles like tungsten nanospheres.
Sporting Equipment and Goods Industry
Numerous groundbreaking changes—particularly in tennis and golf—are being made. High-end racquets, new tennis balls with slow air release, lightweight hockey sticks, and club shaft material with better durability have all been created with the use of nanomaterials such as Silica nanoparticles, nanoclays fullerenes, etc.
Science Space Industry
Space science and research are other areas where nanotechnology uses are evident. Research is being done on ways to deploy spacecraft with less fuel, the outer structure of satellites is made with lightweight materials that are durable
Chemical Sensors Industry
Different sensors that can easily detect even the smallest concentrations of dangerous compounds have been developed using nanomaterials including palladium nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and zinc oxide nanowires. This has been made possible by improvements in these materials’ electrical characteristics at the nanoscale.

Society benefits from nanotechnology, which makes it possible for us to notice changes more and more as we look for them. It enables us to see sustainable and innovative kinds of living. Although nanotechnology is merely a tiny particle, we can use it to change the world and address, create improvements and solve significant global issues by using this tiny solution.
