Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, commonly referred to as ML or MLBB, is a mobile multiplayer online battle arena game developed and published by Moonton, a subsidiary of ByteDance, according to Wikipedia. It currently has more than 100 million downloads and a rating of almost five stars from 12 million users in Google Play. With 115 heroes to choose from, the players won’t easily get bored in this game.
There is no denying that it is one of the most increasingly popular games in Asia and the rest of the globe. In 2020, MLBB had over 1 billion game downloads, with over 100 million registered users and 25 million monthly active users in the Philippines.
What made Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stand out?
Mobile legends Bang Bang is a great MOBA game.Mobile legends has been there for quite some time and so it has improved a lot since its first started. Now, it is very popular game where not only the youngster enjoy but also the adults.
Ever since the pandemic begun Mobile legend was an escape from boredom and can be enjoyed by the many. MLBB also made way in the streaming industry hence, a lot streamers and influencers use this there income and promote the said game.
Social Media. This is the most ironic part because Mobile Legends was made by a Shanghai-based company. For those who don’t know yet, Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites are blocked in China aside from Macau and Hong Kong. Despite this, they managed to harness the influence power of social media that boosted the game’s popularity. I personally get a lot of Mobile Legends shared posts in my feed.
Flexibility. Unlike certain games on Google Play which have tremendous hardware requirements, this game is compatible with most mid-range phones and tablets. Users with high- end phone models can also enjoy playing it with maximum quality by simply adjusting the game’s graphics settings.
Short gameplay: What I know the maximum game play is about 30mins and the shortest could range from 10–15mins. The reason behind this is that developers leverage on time spent and the ability for players to keep on playing the game. Unlike Dota or other MOBA games that requires 45 mins– 1hr or more playtime.
A lot of players: Right now I believe ML has been successful to penetrate SEA and other parts of the world. Moonton has been active in gaming events and tournaments. They are yet to surpass DOTA2’s prize pool and popularity but as long as there is a community then there will be players
Strong community: As mentioned above MLBB has a solid community and building that community takes time but it’s amazing to see what MLBB has achieved since their debut last 2016.
The game play and heroes: Unlike other MOBA the rotation and objectives are different from one another.
