Founded in 2012, home to Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd which are both world-famous games, the company decided to expand their brand to global audiences.

In China the company will still be called miHoYo, where it is originally from. However, because of the growing population of gamers/fans who enjoys their content and because of their desire to offer an immersive virtual world experience to their audiences, the name HoYoverse will be used. The new name will be used for tangential projects including AI research and cross-media ideas. With the rise of new games being released every year and the competition with other gaming companies getting fiercer it is not a surprise that miHoYo is stepping up their game. Offering new content and diverse entertainment activities, global fans will not be leaving anytime soon.
