Chinese game company, miHoYo, is getting rebranded internationally.
Founded in 2012, home to Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd which are both world-famous games, the company decided to expand their brand to global audiences.
“Today, we are excited to announce the official launch of our all-new, forward-thinking brand, HoYoverse. The brand aims to create and deliver an immersive virtual world experience to players worldwide through a variety of entertainment services.” reads the announcement on their official website
“Since day one, our primary goal in content creation has been to provide our players all over the globe with something extraordinary, fresh, and intriguing. Our game titles — including Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis — have been warmly received by a broad spectrum of players in recent years.”

In China the company will still be called miHoYo, where it is originally from. However, because of the growing population of gamers/fans who enjoys their content and because of their desire to offer an immersive virtual world experience to their audiences, the name HoYoverse will be used. The new name will be used for tangential projects including AI research and cross-media ideas. When you go to their official English website, HoYoverse.com, you can see that they already changed their name on their website.

With the rise of new games being released every year and the competition with other gaming companies getting fiercer it is not a surprise that miHoYo is stepping up their game. Offering new content and diverse entertainment activities, global fans will not be leaving anytime soon.
