How our Present-Day Education values Modern Technology
Technology has come a long way from the past and every advancement causes changes in our daily lives. One of the institutions which benefited from the said development is the Academe. Even before the pandemic, COVID-19, technology introduced the use of computers as means of making reports and doing research for teachers and students. Public libraries nowadays offer free wifi connections which enable unprivileged students to attend their online classes and submit requirements and assignments online by providing computers.
Technology does not disclose its advantages on devices alone, applications, either online or offline, such as youtube, google, messenger, notes, and other platforms. Its purpose will be further discussed below.

I. Understanding of Lessons/ Doing Research
In the context of learning, technology has aided students in understanding their lessons as well as doing their research. Students sometimes have a hard time comprehending their teacher’s way of teaching, that is the reason why they search for other ways to learn. They learn through listening and watching youtube videos. Some look for answers, articles, or discussions on search engines or online libraries. Technology also helps students in completing their assignments, projects, and research by using technological tools such as microsoft office, google applications, and so on.

II. Social Interaction/ Communication
People, especially children and teens have become inseparable from their devices. This behavior has made it easier for people to communicate with each other. Particularly, students are currently using social media platforms, social networking sites, and learning management systems to interact with their teachers and students alike. They post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. They also interact on social networks like Skype, Messenger, and many more. Last but not least, is the learning management systems for instance Google Meet, NEOLMS, and so on that gives a way for students to learn online

III. Organizing of Files
Technology aids learners and educators to effectively comply with requirements, may it be an assignment or report of grades, by providing submission bins or folders for each lesson and its corresponding activities. Using google drive, we can keep and organize our files. Also, Learning management systems, such as NeoLMS, Canva, and Google Classroom allows teachers to easily track the outputs submitted by their students online.

IV. Productivity
There are many benefits that you can gain from technology. One benefit is that it can help students manage their time in doing multiple tasks. Another benefit is that it makes their work easier. Other benefits are that they can help you maintain an optimized state of being. Productivity apps, time management apps, and health/mental-focused apps help students in attaining the benefits stated.

V. Enhance Cognition and Brain Function
Online platforms that permit students to assess their understanding in regard to the specific lesson are quite rampant nowadays. Websites such Quizizz and Quizlet are offering digital flashcards and soft copies of reviewers to have better memory recall and retrieval of information which are a few of the main functions of the brain. Puzzles and other educational apps, which demand critical thinking and logical reasoning can also be downloaded on Playstore and the like.
