Artificial Intelligence:
The Future of Education!

Artificial intelligence is rapidly developing and is transforming practically every aspect of life. It has been causing a drastic change in every sector of the economy, and AIs have shown great potential to drastically influence education. AI is there to be the helping hand of teachers in providing quality education for learners. New approaches to teaching and learning are being developed using artificial intelligence in education for various contexts. AI is now being used in a wide range of colleges and universities all over the world. The use of AI in education has provided parents, teachers, students, and, of course, educational institutions with a completely new perspective on education. Education has an important role in the lives of everyone as it will be a key to our success and, with artificial intelligence, we are set for greater skies for the future.
Applications of AI transform the tools of education. AI has a variety of educational applications, such as personalized learning platforms to promote students’ learning, automated assessment systems to aid teachers, and facial recognition systems to generate insights about learners’ behaviors. (Akgun and Greenhow, 2021).

According to Artificial Intelligence in Education, which focuses mostly on creating machines that can perform mental tasks that are traditionally performed by human minds, all levels of education should help people reach their full potential and prepare society for the future (Sucu 2019). Digital textbooks, interactive technologies that rely on speech recognition, and chatbots powered by natural language recognition are just a few of the major learning portals being developed (Ekin, 2022). Most AI technologies are used in education and training programs. Theoretically, modern education uses technology, in particular AI, to improve course content, alter students’ perceptions, and challenge traditional paradigms. Artificial intelligence can also smoothen tons of tasks. It can also help to make better data-driven decisions for children and teachers when it comes to choosing better objectives and goals. Machines can make better decisions in those verticals than humans and can achieve better results.
A significant amount of AI’s capabilities will be developed by machine learning. However, while these techniques allow us to perform tasks without explicit supervision, there are limitations that might prevent them from replacing humans entirely. One such limitation is the lack of contextual understanding, which prevents machines from interacting with the outside world in meaningful ways. This makes it difficult for them to recognize objects or understand how to accomplish tasks without explicit instructions. With machine learning, we’re also making it possible to build computers that can understand and solve problems in new ways (Bill Gates, 2018). This statement highlights the idea that machines are capable of learning through observing and interacting with their context. The ability to learn through observation is a hallmark of human intelligence

The main concern of implementing AI in a sector is that it will displace current workforce members, resulting in job losses. However, this isn’t totally accurate. In truth, AI in education is not intended to take the role of teachers. It’s intended to complete them.
To discover some of the classroom’s problems, AI can support the teacher’s efforts in the classroom. AI will be able to recognize, for instance, when some pupils skip certain questions. The teachers are informed, and since the kids still don’t understand the content, they are aware that they must reteach it. The teachers will become more responsible as a result, and they will follow the most effective teaching methods.
Nowadays, the use of AI in education has been limited and time-contested. There are some arguments against it, such as how teachers will be made redundant and how learning will be more automated than usual. Rather than replacing teachers and making learning impersonal, AI could take learning to a completely new level. As seen by reading what academicians, policymakers, practitioners, and researchers have to say about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education.
Advanced countries in the world, particularly China, use artificial intelligence such as brainwave headbands to improve students’ academic performance. This device uses electroencephalograph (EEG) sensors to monitor student brainwave activity, which differs during concentration from other times, such as distraction or when students are at play
Biometrics as artificial intelligence have also aided students in their learning. The implementation of biometric systems in schools has aided in streamlining education, strengthening privacy, and improving discipline. Facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, voice recognition, and eye tracking are just a few of the biometric methods that schools have used to improve efficiency. Apart from being used to track a student’s attendance in class, they are also used when borrowing school property such as books from the library. Teachers use eye tracking methods to assess how well students are learning new material.
In this modern world, we can see that technology is everywhere. Every child knows how to use smartphones and computers, and introducing artificial intelligence to them to aid in education will not hinder their learning as they are already familiar with technology.
In such cases, it is critical that technology guides students in the right direction and assists them in learning. Considering all of the facts, artificial intelligence in education is extremely beneficial. Machine learning, data analysis, brainwave head bands, biometrics and other artificial intelligence concepts can improve this direction and help the education industry as a whole grow.
To progress for our future, we must be open to technological advancements including artificial intelligence. The current generation longs for a world in which the effort required to obtain quality education is minimal, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.
