All is well in "mWell"
As we live in a new normal today and are compelled to make adaptations, technology plays a huge role in bringing in the latest innovations to aid us with our day-to-day tasks. mWell is the country’s first fully integrated health and wellness app, aimed to alter the way healthcare is delivered to every Filipino, in order to make healthcare more accessible to everyone.
Manny V. Pangilinan, chairman of MPIC, is optimistic and excited about the company’s new venture into digital health care. MPHTC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (PSE: MPI), has finally launched mWell, an all-in-one app that provides professional consultations, wellness programs, products, and delivery services for the Filipino’s holistic well-being. “Filipinos will now have better access to healthcare with mWell making available online healthcare solutions through a wide and sustainable network of medical experts and services. With just a few taps, users can do a virtual check up with doctors, select health and wellness programs, buy medicines, and do a lot more as we strengthen the mWell integrated digital health care ecosystem,” said Manny V. Pangilinan, MPIC Chairman.“We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve Filipinos all around the country in the area of digital healthcare. At the heart of mWell lies our passion to bring health care closer to every Filipino,” added Chaye Revilla, chief finance and sustainability officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corp.
mWell is open to doctors, clinics, and hospitals from across the country. Doctors can create their own virtual clinic for free using the mWell platform. There are no membership or setup costs. Doctors will receive quick and simple training to enable them to use the mWell suite of services and can begin digitizing their practices immediately, reaching more patients across the country. The mWell app allows clinics and hospitals to create virtual labs and accept bookings. Users was able to access the e-Pharmacy service from August 2021, which will allow them to purchase South Star Drug OTC and Prescription drugs and have them delivered to their homes, as well as purchase PhilCare health insurance policies for dengue, accidents, and emergencies. mWell launched a countrywide medical mission in August 2021, the Philippines’ first telehealth virtual event, emphasizing relationships and collaborations with clinics and clinicians nationwide. Customers of PLDT Home will receive a free medical video consultation with mWELL doctors as an initial offer. Following the online check-up, mWell users can order OTC medications from South Star Drug through the mWell app’s e-pharma and have them delivered to their preferred address.

I’ve been using the app to get consults. Its been really convenient since I don’t have to go to the doctor’s clinic anymore.
